Q) Which LED strip light should I put inside this corner LED profile?
A) For the absolute best spot free visual effect we recommend using our 4mm seamless "no dot" LED strip. Which is available in 2700K warmer white, 3000K warm, 3500K soft, 4000K neutral, 5000K cool and 6500K cooler white.
Q) Can this profile be cut to precision lengths, what's the best way to do this?
A) Due to the small size profile the aluminium metal base and semi-opaque diffuser can be cut with a hacksaw easily.
Q) What is the best fixing method for this mini corner profile?
A) There are three main ways of fixing this micro corner profile.
1) drill and small screws, this will create a secure fixing for most surface materials. It will result in a slight bump for the LED strip which won't be noticeable if the LED is a 4mm "no dot" seamless COB LED strip.
2) For upwards facing positioning (laid down shining upwards) or vertical positioning (lengthwise down a wall or surface) strong double sided 3M backing tape will work. For upside down (facing downwards under a shelf) due to gravity we strongly advise using screws or alternatively a strong tape adhesion combined with silicone or super glue depending on the surface material.
3) Using the metal clips provided. We think this option is the least workable solution for "permanent" installations as it looks unsightly. However this is a good option for indirect integrations where the clips would not be seen, i.e in an unseen channel or cove. Or popup event / exhibition styles projects for short term use due to easy dismount and reusability.
Q) Does this corner profile include accessories?
A) Yes we've bundled the associated semi-diffuser (light cover) along with metal mount clips and diffusers?
Q) What is the best way to mount this aluminium micro corner profile within a cabinet?
A) If you are looking to position this profile on the underside of a shelf facing downwards we recommend small secure screws. As long as you are using this micro corner LED profile in conjunction with seamless "no dotting" 4mm COB LED strip lights you won't see any hot spotting despite slight bumping due to the screws. Alternatively you can use a recessed screw leaving a flat surface the LED to be mounted to. WARNING: It's important to ensure there are no serrated edges or sharp aluminium pieces left on the profile as this can short circuit the LED strip. Please ensure a smooth surface prior to sticking LED tape down.
Q) What mounting and positioning options are available for this type of profile?
A) There are two mains uses for this type of profile as follows:
1) Two surface illumination + Direct visual light line aesthetic. This is where the profile is mounted top or bottom of a cabinet, the result is the light beam spreading across the bottom/top & backwall surface along with a visual seamless lighting line aesthetic.
2) Indirect angled beam. You'd round an 8mm hole and place this angled at the desired surface. It focuses the light at a specific angle to maximise light cover. A good example of this is within a walk-in wardrobe angling the light backwards to illuminate the clothes better.
Q) What are the dimensions of this profile?
A) 8mm wide by 8mm high by either 0.6M / 1.2M / 1.8M / 2.4M long.

A) Lengths available include: 0.6M (600mm), 1.2M (1200mm), 1.8M (1800mm) and 2.4M (2400mm)

This product is compatible with all our 24V seamless cob and single colour LED tape lights. Simply decide the lengths required and ensure that the total wattage across all lengths when totalled does not exceed 100W - 10% (90W) to build in a safety buffer.
